Yahoo, he has turned into a horrible teenager!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nic is back, with a body that wants to go forward and a\u00a0feisty\u00a0personality that is so Nic! Oh my Gosh, you can put the teenager in a wheelchair but never out of the child. This drive will take him to places no one ever imagined…if I can survive it! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Nic has battled his blood pressure issues (black dots in his eyes), and now has started thinking about how to do things in therapy past the hours scheduled. One of those things is the FES bike. Functional Electronic Stimulation. We place the Medical version of “Dr Ho” on his butt and legs, and magically the electrical pulses makes his muscles work! It is so incredible. This will start making his muscles and nerves make new or re new the memory paths to get his legs moving!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Well it works! Not only does Nicolas move his toes and knee, he now has good control of his left leg. We can also feel the muscles trying to move on his right side, by feeling the top of his knee. They are there, I felt it!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Friends came and made for a busy weekend for Nic. He had the biggest smile when I seen him again on Monday morning...he is getting his life back.<\/strong>\u00a0I want to say a special thank you to Erin and her friends from Bracebridge for giving him \u00a0this weekend!<\/p>\n
